So, I got back into Neopets for the first time in forever.

First thing I did after putting my poor neglected pets in the NeoLodge to feed them quickly was go play some games.

Word Pyramid was fun, except for one little snag.

There was an X in the way. I could have formed like five different words if it hadn't been there. The only way to get rid of it was to use it, but the only word I had access to was "sex". If this had been any other site, any other medium for this game, I could have done it. But this was Neopets, and heaven forbid that word should be in its dictionary.

Also it's lacking some words. "Moms" and "pent" don't seem to be in the Neopets dictionary.

Oh well.

So, I now have my Pikachu-colored Pichu. Gamestop was nearly empty and I wasn't pushing for space with the younger crowd who've never touched first-gen.

Though it might be awhile before I get HeartGold. Since, you know, I'll be focusing on Strange Journey first and my manager can't give me more hours.

I guess I'll just trade Pichu over to Platinum or something. I'm extremely early in Platinum and can't unlock Mystery Gift yet, and I'm too lazy to do it now. I'd much rather play my Red version. /old-school craving

While we're on the subject of Pokemon, I managed to make it to the final boss in PMD: Darkness. But damn, he's hard. Roar of Time doesn't seem to ever miss no matter how many Sand Attacks I throw at him. He faints at least one of us in two rounds! And we're almost level 60. ;;

...And now I kind of want to make a sulking post on her journal for this.

Today has just been all downhill. Nyx is sick and I'm worried, I worked half the hours I was supposed to and I need those hours, and my income tax refund is only two digits large.

On top of all that my boss is angry with me for being a slower worker than the new girl, and won't take "you misinterpreted what you saw" for an answer. (I was not "standing around", you happened to walk by while I was getting more security tags for the clothes!)

I don't want to find a new job, I know the store like the back of my hand and that makes things so much easier on me.

I dunno. Maybe I should just go to bed and hope tomorrow makes up for it somehow.

So, in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness, I have ten floors and one boss battle to go before completing the story. Which is great because it brings me a step closer to being prepared to use team_antipode somewhere. Because they're postgame and I'm not. Why did I do that?

Oh, and if you can't see it, it's the only continuous line on the whole thing. Just start at the tip and work down.

So I decided to throw Izumi at the Cleverbot.

It started out normal - random, silly, and repetitive.

And then it got scary. Somehow, it went from a funny sort of sitcom situation where the bot had hidden Izumi's robes during a beach outing to a rather consistent kidnapping plot!

I'm considering using this as a nightmare she'll have. It's certainly scary enough. But not if nyxmidnight doesn't want to thread it, because there isn't any way Izumi won't wake up screaming. So that plan's up in the air.

As for me, I'm gonna stop worrying about it and go to bed. Don't worry about the muse, Izumi sees it as it was - a game (a roleplaying game for a roleplaying character, haha), so she's not badly traumatized outside of that. It was all OOC.

Still, I wonder how complex a plot one can come up with using Cleverbot...

I downloaded a SMT2 ROM and got an English patch. I'm trying to play without using savestates, but the emulator keeps crashing. So I should probably start doing so. Also whyyy does the Messian church charge so much, even for fellow Lawbies? I let the game name Hiroko just so I'd be Law-skewed for a healing discount early on and I STILL have to macca-grind for healing! Otherwise I'm having fun so far.

So, "official" names really work well as fanfiction mainstays so authors don't get confused. But really, when it comes to naming your silent protagonists, part of the fun is coming up with your own. I thought it might be fun to share.

Okay, so I went the uncreative route here. I tend to do that with the classics.

Persona 3: Genki Takahashi.

No special commentary on this one. I was panicked when the name entry screen came up and just entered the first things to come to mind. I'm probably going to stop doing commentary unless there's something I just have to say.

Persona 4: Hiroki Tonegawa

DSRK SA and KA: Ryuu Yoshida.

The weird thing about this one is, continuity-wise, I should have named my KA Raidou something else, since I've since decided the character interpretation I call Ryuu is AU - stay on original SMT timeline. But I just like that interpretation too much. Maybe I'll go with bathhouse_boss's Raidou (Toshio Murakami) on my next KA playthrough to sync things up.

Persona PSP: Naoya Toudou.

Okay, uncreative again. I got the game without coming up with a name beforehand so I panicked when I hit the name entry screen. Thing is, I didn't know P3 had Minato Arisato as a mainstay name so I just made one up. This time - I knew.

Devil Survivor: Taiki "Tai" Yumi

I don't know how I got this name. It just fit. I really wanted to name him Kenichi, though. Damn character limit.

Nocturne: Kenta Nakajima

Okay, actually, he's still unnamed BECAUSE I HAVEN'T STARTED PLAYING YET. But this is what I'm going to name him.

Nocturne came in! I don't know if I want to stop playing DDS (Cielo just awakened, for reference) and start that up or what. I might go back to just randomly playing stuff as I go.

Also, it's fucking freezing in here. I can hardly feel my fingers to type. Luckily, there will be warm pizza here in half an hour or so to help.

So yeah. I randomized the names using the list randomizer at Random.org.
